Our Story

Reserve 22 is proudly located within the award-winning Village Links of Glen Ellyn, one of the nation’s most environmentally recognized public golf courses. Since 1991, the Village Links has participated in the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program and was the first public golf course in the United States to be designated a Certified Wildlife Sanctuary Golf Course. For decades, the property has been managed with a commitment to protecting wildlife, preserving natural habitats, conserving water, and maintaining a healthy ecosystem.

As part of this unique setting, Reserve 22 shares in that commitment to environmental stewardship. Throughout the years, sustainability initiatives included an on-site apiary and greenhouse that supplied honey, herbs, and vegetables for the restaurant, reinforcing our commitment to locally sourced ingredients and environmental stewardship.

Reserve 22 is named after the 22 lakes found throughout the Village Links golf course. Originally created in 1967 as stormwater retention basins, these lakes have evolved into an important part of the property’s landscape, providing habitat for wildlife while enhancing the scenic experience enjoyed by golfers and restaurant guests alike. Opened in 2014, Reserve 22 offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience where great food is paired with breathtaking views of one of the country’s most environmentally respected public golf courses.
